Neil Sorensen is an AV® rated attorney specializing in land use, real estate, municipal and environmental law, and in litigation associated with these areas.

 

Prior to commencing his legal career, Mr. Sorensen worked as a land use planner for various public agencies, including the Marin County Planning Department and the Los Angeles County Engineer.  He has extensive experience in annexation issues, having spent over two years as the Executive Officer of the Marin Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO).

 

 

LEGAL WORK AND REPRESENTATIVE CLIENTS:

 

Since 1986, Neil Sorensen has represented property owners in all phases of the land development approval and entitlement  process, including CEQA compliance, subdivision approvals, local agency proceedings and related litigation.  He represents private and public clients in real estate litigation, boundary line disputes, land use, and  municipal law and related litigation.  Representative clients include Ghilotti Brothers Construction, the Marin/Sonoma Mosquito Abatement District, Kragen Auto Parts,  Estero Mutual Water Company, Comerica Bank, Longs Drug Stores, and the Marin Community Foundation.
